Frequently Asked Questions About Shree HEAT SHIELD
Are Shree AAC blocks eco-friendly?
Yes. They are considered a 100% green building material and are highly preferred in LEED-certified buildings. By utilizing recycled industrial fly ash, they eliminate the top-soil stripping associated with traditional red clay bricks.
Do they suffer from efflorescence (salt staining)?
No. Unlike soil-based red bricks which contain inorganic impurities resulting in efflorescence, Shree AAC blocks have no efflorescence, ensuring a low cost of maintenance and a longer lifespan for your paint and plaster.
Is it cheaper to use Shree AAC blocks or Red Bricks?
Shree AAC blocks are significantly cheaper in overall application. While individual unit costs vary, AAC blocks require less jointing mortar (Rs. 600 per 100 sqft vs Rs. 950 for bricks), enable faster construction (30 sqm per mason vs 20 sqm), and only mandate plaster on one side.
